Located along the San Diego Bay, this beautiful property boasts 1190 guest rooms, 170,000 square feet of event space, and 8 food and beverage outlets. Bring your culinary knowledge to this dynamic hotel and team.The ideal candidate will possess:A minimum of 2 years professional experience as a cook, pantry cook, or line cookBanquet and high-volume prep and cooking experience is a plusHotel experience preferredOpen availability with the ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidaysSchedule: Varied shifts that can start as early as 6:00am and as late as 2:00pm. Open availability is a must. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:Prepare cold food items including, but not limited to, salads, fruits, dressings, fish items and appetizers, according to designated recipes and quality standardsMaintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all timesManage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient mannerEnsure knowledge of menu and food productsStock and maintain designated food stations(s)Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchenPractice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulationsWhat are we looking for?Since being founded in 1919, Hilton has been a leader in the hospitality industry.
