JOB SUMMARY nMonday-Friday 8am-5pm nThe Inventory & Production Operations Specialist is accountable for end-to-end inventory integrity and production material readiness across the facility. This role ensures that materials, components, and consumables are accurately controlled, strategically positioned, and continuously available to support production, repair, and service operations. Acting as a key operational partner to Production, Service Writing, and Procurement, this position drives workflow efficiency, minimizes downtime, reduces inventory risk, and enables on-time delivery while upholding safety, quality, and cost standards. nThis role operates with a high degree of autonomy and is expected to identify risks, implement process improvements, and proactively resolve inventory and production constraints before they impact performance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES nInventory Ownership & Control nnOwn daily inventory accuracy and integrity across assigned production and repair areas. nEstablish and maintain disciplined bin management standards to support traceability, efficiency, and visual control. nPerform and lead cycle count programs for small parts, consumables, and high-risk inventory categories; analyze variances and implement corrective actions. nInvestigate, reconcile, and resolve inventory discrepancies, including condition mismatches, receipt errors, usage variances, and system inaccuracies. nMaintain accurate part numbers, quantities, locations, and status within the inventory management system. nManage scrap disposition for damaged, obsolete, or unusable materials, including required system and cost adjustments. n nProduction & Repair Support nnTrack and manage production buckets and repair queues to ensure uninterrupted material flow and adherence to production schedules. nPick, kit, and dispense repair components for approved jobs, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and job readiness. nActively monitor material shortages, constraints, and delays; escalate and resolve issues to prevent production downtime. nSupport repair planning and execution through close coordination with Service Writers and Production teams. nReorganize and optimize bin locations and material flow layouts to improve productivity, ergonomics, and throughput. n nProcurement & Materials Coordination nnReceive, verify, and process incoming purchase orders to ensure accuracy, condition compliance, and timely availability. nRestock excess and bulk inventory in alignment with production demand and storage standards. nProcess internal transfer requests and manual requisitions across locations, ensuring proper documentation and system accuracy. nPartner with Procurement and Parts teams to forecast needs, address shortages, and support supplier responsiveness. n nOperational Excellence & Continuous Improvement nnIdentify process inefficiencies, inventory risks, and material flow constraints; recommend and implement practical improvements. nSupport standard work development for inventory handling, kitting, replenishment, and cycle counting. nMaintain visual management and organizational standards in inventory and production support areas. nParticipate in safety, quality, and operational initiatives to strengthen compliance and performance. n nCommunication & Customer Support nnServe as a primary point of contact for inventory and production material issues across internal teams. nProvide proactive customer and internal updates on delayed units or material-driven schedule impacts. nCommunicate clearly and professionally across departments to resolve issues and align priorities. n nGeneral Operations nnSupport overall branch operations as needed, including special projects, audits, and operational initiatives. nMaintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment at all times. n nKEY PERFORMANCE METRICS n· Inventory accuracy & Integrity n· Production material flow (mtl shortages, pick/pack error rate, avg time to issue parts) n· Customer Impact & On-time delivery (Internal/External) n· Inventory health (Adjustments, Accuracy, Scrap Rates, Bin mgmt) n· Cross Functional Effectiveness & Process Effectiveness (CI improvements, resolution lead time) n· Safety & Compliance (TRIF, 5S, Improvements) nQUALIFICATIONS nnStrong attention to detail with a high level of ownership and accountability nProficient in inventory systems, business platforms, and Microsoft Office tools nMechanical aptitude required; electronics background strongly preferred nAbility to interpret part numbers, bills of material, and repair documentation nComfortable working independently in a fast-paced, operational environment nRequired to provide personal tools as specified by Supervisor n nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES nnAdvanced inventory control and material flow knowledge nStrong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills nAbility to prioritize competing demands and manage operational risk nEffective verbal and written communication skills nStrong organizational and multitasking capability nWorking knowledge of safety, quality, and production standards nContinuous improvement mindset with a bias toward action n n**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE ** · Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field or equivalent experience preferred n· 1–3 years of experience in operations, quality, engineering, or continuous improvement roles preferred n**PHYSICAL DEMANDS ** n· Combination of office and operational floor activity. n· Standing, walking, bending, lifting (
