Job descriptionRemote Medical Billing SpecialistQualifications:All potential candidates must have strong communication, organizational and analytical skills. Working knowledge and experience in analyzing medical claims. Strong knowledge of EMR software, medical billing applications, CPT codes, ICD-10, and insurance web portals and OON experience. Experience in cardiology a plus.Responsibilities:Manage claim submission process end-to-end through submission, response, and final paymentUnderstand and communicate insurance billing & patient responsibility (in/out of network, deductibles, copays, co-insurance, out of pocket max) internally and to clientsDenial ManagementPrepare and submit claim appeals with insurance companiesFollow-up with payers to ensure timely resolution of all outstanding claims, via phone, emails, fax, or websitesPerform special projects and other duties as needed.
