Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong Banking / Financial Services domain experience to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-scale applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, SQL, and enterprise application development, along with experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Banking or Financial Services experience is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications.
Develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and Microservices.
Participate in application design, development, testing, and deployment.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Develop clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards.
Troubleshoot application and production issues and provide timely resolutions.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, QA Engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups.
Support application deployments and production releases.
Contribute to application modernization and performance improvements.
Ensure applications meet enterprise security and compliance standards.
Required Technical Skills
5+ years of professional Java development experience
Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+
Spring Framework / Spring Boot
Microservices architecture
RESTful APIs and web services
Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming
Java design patterns
Strong SQL experience
Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases
Experience with Git or other source-control systems
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Banking / Financial Services Experience – Mandatory
Candidates must have professional experience working in the Banking or Financial Services industry.
