Senior Analyst, Valuations
Position SummaryThis position will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and development of the corporate valuation process, including maintaining and assisting in developing valuation models, valuation analytics and data management, internal/external valuation reporting, tracking valuation deliverables and driving process efficiencies through a technology lens. In-Office Requirement: 4 days per week Primary Responsibilities Valuation Models and Technology 35% of timeAssist with maintaining and updating existing valuation models and developing new valuation modelsInteract with GTS and business teams to develop business requirements for future-state valuation automation and database (including being a thought leader on how things can be done better using AI)Monitor regular deliverables through SharePoint and other tracking methodsWork closely with valuation process stakeholders on valuation issues Investment/Fund Level Valuation Metrics and Reporting 20% of timePrepare and update regular fund and investment valuation analytics and reportsAssist in developing trending and other key management reportsWork closely with other areas of Investor Services to ensure valuation data is consistent across firmManage and maintain valuation database and assist/facilitate interactions between the database and downstream systemsCreate ad-hoc reports as required Valuation Process 45% of timeInteract and coordinate with Fund Management teams on valuation committee meetings and regular deliverablesTrack and manage compliance with regular deliverables and policyMaintain and update key valuation inputs for use by investment teams in valuation modelsAssist with identifying and developing standard processes to streamline valuation process and add efficiencies to preparation of valuationsAssist with reviewing investment valuations Requirements Education & CertificatesBachelor's Degree, requiredConcentration in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Mathematics, or equivalent relevant work experience in addition to Bachelor's Degree in another field, required.CFA or progress towards CFA is a plus Professional Experience2-4 years of relevant experience, requiredExperience with database systems and Microsoft Access (experience with business requirement and working with an IT team to develop systems a plus)Working knowledge of valuation concepts regarding operating companies, real estate, energy and/or debt/equity financial instrumentsExperience analyzing and modelling cash flows; advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelWorking knowledge of cash flow analysis and financial modellingKnowledge of various AI tools and ways in which they can improve processes Competencies & AttributesAbility to work across departments and teams in a collaborative and efficient mannerAbility to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilitiesStrong analytical and qualitative skillsHighly motivated and driven - able to work long hours during key busy periodsHighly organized and efficient - must be able to process a large volume of information and manage competing priorities and deadlinesHigh level of comfort interacting with professionals throughout the organization, at all levels and in many groupsAble to communicate clearly and effectively - both in writing and verballyAble to maintain a high level of focus on process discipline but do so in a collaborative mannerDetail-orientedCommitted to high standards of excellence and ethics, including the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary informationEffectively identifies issues and formulates solutionsAble to develop financial and operational modelsAbility to use various AI toolsAbility to develop presentations with Microsoft PowerPoint a plusAble to work independently and proactively manage responsibilities to completion Benefits/CompensationThe compensation range for this role is specific to Washington, DC and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $115,000. In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs. Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
