Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic-2nd shift
Job Description
The 2nd shift Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic is a key member of the maintenance team, working on off shift, responsible for all routine and emergency maintenance activities within the production department. This role demands exceptional technical expertise and communication skills to ensure equipment reliability and support manufacturing processes. The mechanic works independently while collaborating with both maintenance and production teams to uphold safety, quality, and efficiency standards using a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment. ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and emergency repairs on manufacturing machineryTroubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on mixed equipment typesSet up and run wire process equipment for maintenance or troubleshootingExecute Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security program requirementsFollow scheduled Planned Maintenance (PM) activities and adjust priorities as directedEnsure accurate and timely maintenance entries in the MRP system using custom software toolsAssess processes for cost-effective reliability and drive continuous improvementsEnforce processing and quality standards during all maintenance tasks Required QualificationsMinimum 8 years industrial maintenance, production, or related experienceTechnical AS Degree or Certificate in manufacturing or technical trade Preferred QualificationsExperience with Planned Maintenance (PM) systemsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsProficient in manufacturing equipment setup and operationsKnowledge of industrial safety standardsEffective communication abilitiesDemonstrated quality control and process improvement competenciesCompany DescriptionLuvata in Waterbury, Connecticut manufactures copper stabilized NbTi and Nb3Sn conductors for a variety of superconducting applications.
