DescriptionDunbarton Corporation is seeking a Receiving Technician/ Driver that is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing materials, including unloading, palletizing, wrapping, and staging shipments, receiving and inspecting deliveries, updates inventory in ERP, and ensures proper storage, and manages shipments via UPS, FedEx, LTL, and inter-plant transfers, ensuring packaging and labeling meet standards. Responsibilities will also include driving the Dunbarton box truck and/ or pickup truck to transfer goods to and from local vendors, customers, and warehouses.Essential Job FunctionsUnload and inspect raw materials; verify documentation and enter data into ERP systemTransport materials to proper inventory or manufacturing locations using forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranesMaintain accurate inventory records; perform cycle counts and auditsDeliver packaging supplies and maintain cleanliness of work areasBuild pallets and protective packaging for outbound shipmentsOperate and maintain material handling equipment and company delivery truckInspect incoming and WIP materials for defects; ensure compliance with specificationsTag and label raw materials, scrap, and WIP; manage scrap disposal and ERP entriesEnsure proper storage, labeling, and organization of inventorySupport logistics operations including UPS, FedEx, LTL, and inter-plant transfersFollow safety, 6S, Kaizen, and LEAN protocols; assist in training and team activitiesDrive Dunbarton box truck to transfer goods to and from local vendors and warehousesRead work orders or receive instructions to determine work assignments or material needsAdheres to work schedule and attendance requirements, including overtime if requiredPerforms other work as directed and required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of raw material handling and inventory controlsKnowledge of bill of lading, labeling, and shipping documentationKnowledge of product/customer packaging requirements and quality standardsKnowledge of bill of lading, labeling, and shipping documentationKnowledge of safety, 6S, Kaizen, and LEAN principlesSkill in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and other material moving equipmentSkill in packing, labeling, and preparing shipments for various carriersSkill in cycle counting and inventory auditingSkill in the use of ERP systems for inventory tracking and data entryAbility to lift, move, and transport materials safely and efficientlyAbility to inspect incoming materials and identify defectsAbility to maintain accurate inventory records and perform auditsAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingAbility to establish and maintain effective, courteous working relationships with coworkers and customersAbility to remain calm in stressful situations and to take a teamwork approach to the job by cooperating with others, offering to help others when needed, and considering larger organization or team goals rather than individual concerns RequirementsSix (6) or more months' experience in a manufacturing environmentValid driver's licenseNote: At the discretion of the hiring manager and/or the Human Resources Manager an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe following physical activities are necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position.
