Director/Managing Director, Research Analyst - Transportation & Logistics

DescriptionCitizens is presently searching for a senior equity research analyst to cover the Transporation & Logistics sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and is naturally curious and open to learning new concepts, exceptional analytical skills, familiarity with financial modeling concepts, and a keen desire to learn. The candidate would also have the ability to multitask, outstanding time management skills, and a passion for conducting and communicating proprietary and thought-provoking research.Primary responsibilities includeProvide fundamental analysis of companies in the Transportation & Logistics Products sectorsResponsible for scrutinizing and projecting company financials, as well as perform valuation analysisResponsible for synthesizing data to generate new investment ideas and/or propose investment action to investment officers and account administratorsCommunicate key findings and recommendations to appropriate unit/teamResponsible for the planning of industry, sector, and company reports and presentations for internal and external clientsResponsible for managing client requestsParticipate in industry and company sponsored conferences and field tripsStay abreast of trends in business conditions and/or monetary policy that could affect the investment marketQualificationsBachelor's degree from a top educational institution5+ years of experience as an equity research analyst in the Transportation & Logistics sectorKnowledge: must possess a strong financial background with knowledge of financial modeling, and ability to dissect financial reports and perform valuationCritical thinking skills: Be required to have idea generation and thought leadership abilities. It is important that the equity research analyst can synthesize data as well as apply logic and reasoning to decipher the strength and weakness of a problem, and to generate new investment ideas and investment recommendationsInterpersonal skills: Possess strong interpersonal skills for establishing and developing relationships with multiple stake holders, including senior management of covered companies, team members, and other internal and external securities professionalsAttention to detailFINRA Licensed with valid Series 7, 63, 86 and 87Hours & Work Schedule* Hours per Week: 40* Work Schedule: Monday to FridayPay TransparencyThe salary range for this position is $225,000 to $300,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus.
