Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
The Family Nurse Practitioner will provide advanced primary andspecialty nursing services. The NP performs patient health assessment,creating strategies to improve or manage a patient\'s health, andintroducing habits for health promotion. Our expectation is that thisposition will see at least two patients per hour of patient facing time.This person will support CHP\'s mission, vision, and values and willadhere to compliance protocols as well as CHP\'s policies andprocedures. Salary Range: \$104,500.00 - \$120,000.00 / year, proratedbased on hours Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time **Family NursePractitioner Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** - Perform physicalexams and patient observations. - Record patients\' medical historiesand symptoms. - Create patient care plans and contribute to existingones. - Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests. - Monitor andoperate medical equipment. - Diagnose health issues. - Administermedicine and other treatments. - Detect changes in patients\' health andmodify treatment plans, as needed. - Consult with healthcareprofessionals and families. - Train patients and their families tomanage and prevent illness and injury. **Competencies: To perform thejob successfully, an individual should demonstrate the followingcompetencies:** Subject Matter Expert: - Is a subject matter expert andkeeps knowledge current by attending required trainings and meetings. -Knowledge of and respect for HIPAA regulations. - Develops innovativeapproaches and ideas. Verbal and Written CommunicationSkills: - Prepares and presents statistical and other reports oral orwritten as required. **Essential Skills and Qualifications:** -Master\'s degree from an accredited nursing program. - Licensure in theState of Massachusetts and board-certified by either ANCC or AANP. -Prescriptive Authorization. - Experience Providing Primary Care As aFamily Nurse Practitioner. - Knowledge of computer-based data managementprograms and information systems, as well as medical records andpoint-of-interview technology. - A sound understanding of all pertinentfederal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA. - Excellentverbal and written communication skills. - Knowledge of diseaseprevention.
