Dan’s Auto Centre is hiring a Service Operations Specialist — a high-impact position built for an experienced technician who takes pride in inspection quality, workflow efficiency, and strong communication.

What This Role Looks Like
You will serve as the central point of quality control and workflow coordination inside the shop. All vehicle inspections will run through you, ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and consistency before they go to our customers.
You’ll also play a key part in dispatching work, improving efficiency, and helping bridge communication between technicians and the Service Manager.
Core Responsibilities
Oversee shop-wide quality control, especially regarding inspections, documentation, and repair recommendations
Review all digital vehicle inspections for accuracy, completeness, and professionalism
Call customers with clear, confident repair explanations and estimates
Coordinate and dispatch work based on technician skill sets, bay availability, and workflow priorities
Identify workflow bottlenecks and collaborate with the Service Manager on process improvements
Serve as a technical resource for technicians when needed
Maintain strong communication between the front office and the shop
Support and reinforce a positive, team-focused culture
What We’re Looking For
Experienced automotive technician with strong diagnostic and inspection skills
ASE Certifications preferred (or willingness to pursue)
High attention to detail and a commitment to consistent, quality work
Strong communication skills — especially on the phone with customers
Growth mindset with openness to new tools, technologies, and processes
Comfortable using technology and AI tools to help improve workflow and efficiency
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced shop environment
Team-first attitude with leadership capability (without needing the “manager” title)
Compensation
Hourly pay, negotiable based on experience and certifications
Bonus incentives available based on performance and shop goals
