Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Cherry Picker OperatorJob Summary:The Warehouse Cherry Picker Operator is responsible for operating cherry pickers and other warehouse equipment to accurately pick, place, and organize products within a warehouse or distribution center. This role is essential for maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, and supporting overall warehouse operations.Key Responsibilities:Operation of Cherry Picker:Safely operate cherry pickers to retrieve and transport goods from high shelving or storage areas. Adhere to warehouse procedures and safety protocols while operating the equipment. Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of the cherry picker, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs. Order Fulfillment:Accurately pick items based on order specifications, using cherry picker equipment to reach items at various heights. Ensure that picked items are placed in the correct locations and that order accuracy is maintained. Assist with packing, labeling, and preparing items for shipping. Inventory Management:Conduct periodic inventory counts to ensure stock levels are accurate. Organize and arrange products within the warehouse to maximize space utilization and efficiency. Report inventory discrepancies or damaged goods to the warehouse supervisor. Safety and Compliance:Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately to a supervisor. Warehouse Maintenance:Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient workspace. Assist in general warehouse maintenance tasks as needed. Communication and Coordination:Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, including supervisors, and other operators, to ensure smooth and coordinated operations. Provide feedback on workflow and operational improvements to enhance efficiency. Qualifications:Experience: Previous experience operating cherry pickers or similar warehouse equipment is preferred. Certification: Certification for operating cherry pickers or aerial lifts (e.g., OSHA certification) is required or must be obtained within a specified time frame. Skills:Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and equipment operation. Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks efficiently. Good organizational and communication skills. Physical Requirements:Ability to work at heights and lift heavy objects (up to [specific weight, if applicable]). Physical stamina to handle the demands of the role, including standing for long periods and operating machinery.
