Payment Analyst
Position: Payments Operations (Healthcare) AnalystLocation: Brooklyn, NY / Tempe, AZExperience: 2–5 YearsJob Summary:We are seeking a Payments Operations (Healthcare) Analyst with experience in healthcare payment processing and revenue cycle operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), healthcare provider and insurance payer behaviors, payment posting, balancing, and reconciliation processes. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong data entry accuracy, and experience handling healthcare payment transactions.Required Skills:2–5 years of healthcare payment operations experienceStrong understanding of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)Experience with healthcare providers and insurance payer behaviorsExperience in payment posting and balancing processesKnowledge of deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and contractual adjustmentsStrong data entry and data validation skillsExperience with reconciliation and accounts receivable processesKnowledge of HIPAA regulations and PHI handlingAbility to meet productivity and quality metricsRoles & Responsibilities:Interpret and accurately enter data from paper and electronic EOBs into the systemPost payments from insurance carriers and patients into revenue management systemsIdentify, calculate, and apply contractual adjustments, deductibles, copays, and coinsurance based on payer contractsBalance daily deposits and reconcile cash logs with posting reportsInvestigate and resolve discrepancies between payment and billed amountsPerform high-volume alphanumeric and numeric data entry with a high level of accuracyVerify data accuracy and ensure proper claim processingMaintain compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements while handling Protected Health Information (PHI)Process payment notices, correspondence, and assigned claim batchesMeet daily productivity and accuracy targetsCollaborate with internal teams to resolve payment issues and ensure smooth operationsAdditional Information:Industry experience is mandatoryCandidates must be comfortable working onsitePotential contract extensions based on performance and business needs
