Everforth ECS is seeking a Software Engineer to work in an onsite capacity at our Springfield, VA customer site.Everforth ECS is seeking an innovative and articulate Software Engineer to support the execution of a variety of projects including the development of applications and APIs for help users perform analytic functions. This position requires strong technical skills in software development and enterprise application integration. You will work closely with the technical team to develop, test, deploy, and maintain solutions in an Agile environment, promoting excellence in collaboration and customer service. As expected, we offer highly competitive compensation and benefits.Job Responsibilities:Develop software solutions by conferring with stakeholders, studying information needs, and analyzing system flow, data usage, and work processesDetermine operational feasibility by evaluating problem definition and requirements, third-party analysis, and proposed solutionsEstimate and meet timelines, working both independently and as a member of the larger teamBrief stakeholders by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issuesImprove operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes to processesDevelop software application tests and testing strategies to improve product development and deployed operationsDevelop scripting solutions which automate manual processes to support throughput demandsEmbrace challenges with enthusiasm to develop imaginative solutions to unique operational problemsAbility to work in person a minimum of 3 days per weekBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM fieldUS citizenshipActive Top Secret security clearance with SCI + CI-Poly eligibility4-6+ years of experience designing, coding, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level systemsProficiency with multiple programming languages such as C++, Python, and JavaScriptStrong analytical and reasoning skills with an ability to visualize processes and anticipate outcomesExperience with brownfield applications, identifying opportunities for improvement and designing/implementing new featuresExperience with DevSecOps frameworks (e.g. GitLab, Jira)Experience developing architecture/system diagrams and data flow diagramsExperience with containerization/orchestration technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift)Experience with Linux command-line interface (CLI) including scripting in Bash, Python, etc.Experience working in an Agile environment (e.g. work breakdown/refinement, ongoing task updates)Excellent communication/presentation skills to make recommendations to stakeholders with varying degrees of technical awareness
