Director of Engineering – Data Center Cooling

We're hiring for a leading manufacturer of advanced thermal management solutions who are looking to hire a Director of Engineering to lead the design, development, and delivery of custom cooling systems for hyperscale and colocation data center customers.This is will be a player-coach role overseeing a multidisciplinary engineering organization focused on air cooling, liquid cooling, and next-generation thermal technologies. The successful candidate will drive engineering strategy, product innovation, and execution excellence while ensuring products are optimized for performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a high-performing engineering team focused on data center cooling technologies.Drive end-to-end product development from concept through commercialization and lifecycle support.Champion design-to-cost, DFM/DFA, and scalable engineering practices.Partner cross-functionally with Sales, PMO, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.Support customer engagements, technical reviews, and engineered-to-order solutions.Define product roadmaps, technical standards, and engineering processes aligned with business objectives.Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.Engineering experience, including leadership responsibility.Strong background in HVAC, thermal management, or data center infrastructure products.Experience with both air- and liquid-based cooling technologies.Proven success driving manufacturable, cost-effective product designs in a production environment.Strong cross-functional leadership and commercial awareness.This opportunity offers the chance to shape critical infrastructure technologies supporting the rapidly growing data center market while leading a highly visible engineering function within a collaborative and growth-focused environment.
