Position Overview
You are responsible for the cleanliness of the hotel.
As Housekeeping Supervisor, you lead the daily execution of room cleaning, public space upkeep, and laundry operations. You set the pace. You inspect every detail. You hold the team accountable. You create and foster a culture of hospitality.
Guests judge the hotel in the first five minutes. Clean rooms and well-kept public areas drive guest scores, brand compliance, and repeat business. Your job is to make sure we win that moment every day.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support room attendants and laundry staff
Inspect guest rooms daily to ensure brand standards are met
Monitor housekeeping productivity and staffing levels
Maintain supply and linen inventory
Train new team members on cleaning standards and procedures
Enforce safety protocols and chemical handling procedures
Ensure compliance with Comfort Inn brand cleanliness requirements
Coordinate room status updates with the Front Desk
Identify maintenance issues and communicate them promptly
Step in and clean rooms as needed during high occupancy
Performance Expectations
You will be measured on:
Room inspection scores
Guest cleanliness feedback
Productivity (minutes per room)
Payroll control
Inventory management
Brand audit readiness
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience (hotel preferred)
Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail
Ability to lead by example
Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
Able to lift up to 30 pounds
