Maintenance Technician

Through decades of growth, innovation, and dedication, MW Industries has proven to be a world-class supplier of custom springs, fasteners, and precision metal components.Job SummaryThe Maintenance Tech I position is designed to for someone with a broad range of skills that the refine over time to install, troubleshoot, repair or decommission a large range of CNC, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment.Job DutiesCNC machine troubleshooting (electrical, mechanical, & hydraulic), not programming or computers other than testing standard connectors, etc.Electrical wiringDrive + Servo troubleshootingHydraulics, Pneumatics, Basic HVAC troubleshoot/repairPipingRiggingWelding + Steel FabricatingMachinery installation and/or modificationDesign & creation of various fixtures and/or jigs used in production or quality departmentGrind room equipment maintenance & wheel replacementPerform preventative maintenance on machines and ovens per P.M. schedule.Other tasks as requestedExperience with Six SigmaJob RequirementsAbility to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects.Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Capability of working from verbal instructions.Engage in a team environment to resolve issues.Show initiative and have the ability to work independently on primary responsibilities.Knowledge of or ability to learn the use of calipers, micrometers and load test equipment.Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment.Ability to use power tools/hand tools.Ability to read/understand blue prints and wiring schematics (training provided).OSHA10 preferred, training provided if needed.EDUCATION And EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift/move and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand and/or walk 8+ hours per dayUse of one or both hands grasp, move, or assemble objectsEEOC StatementMW Components provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
