Veeda Lifesciences is seeking an experienced and strategic Director, Business Development based in Europe to lead our global growth agenda. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on driving revenue, expanding market presence, and building long-term client partnerships within the CRO space, with a strong emphasis on Oncology.This is a full-time job.Job overview:As Director, Business Development, you will define and execute global growth strategies, identify new market opportunities, and build strong client relationships. You will play a critical role in shaping the company’s commercial success by aligning business development initiatives with long-term strategic goals.Main responsibilities:Strategy & PlanningPartner with the COO to define and execute long-term business development strategiesIdentify new markets, regions, and therapeutic opportunities (with a focus on Oncology)Drive pipeline growth and conversion through structured, agile planningContribute to bid defenses and proposal strategy in collaboration with cross-functional teamsBusiness Development ExecutionLead data-driven decision-making using market insights, competitor analysis, and performance dataOversee CRM-driven pipeline management (e.g., Salesforce) for transparency and efficiencyEnsure high-quality, timely RFP and proposal submissionsRepresent the organization at global industry events and conferencesClient Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makersDrive account-based strategies to improve client retention and satisfactionLead proactive engagement initiatives such as business reviews and growth planningGovernance & Process ExcellenceEstablish standardized BD processes, costing models, and proposal frameworksEnsure compliance with regulatory standards (ICH GCP), SOPs, and quality systemsFoster a culture of innovation and continuous improvementLeadership & People DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop a high-performing business development teamPromote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellenceSupport talent development, recruitment, and capability buildingJob Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or Finance (MBA preferred)12–15 years of experience, including at least 5 years managing accounts in the CRO industry, with Hem‑Onc, Multiple Myeloma and Oncology experience majorlyStrong expertise in Oncology, including Hem-Onc and Multiple MyelomaProven track record of delivering revenue growth and managing global clientsAdvanced CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and pipeline managementStrong financial acumen with data-driven decision-making capabilityExpertise in proposal development and market researchSolid understanding of regulatory requirements, including ICH GCPStrategic mindset with a strong execution focusHighly client-centric approachStrong influencing and negotiation skillsResilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environmentExcellent collaboration and leadership capabilitiesAbility to travel regionally and globally for client meetings and industry eventsJoin us to be part of a multidisciplinary team of highly skilled scientists and healthcare professionals in the forefront of Clinical Research within a friendly work environment.
