Job Description Metal Polisher - 1st Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM; Fridays until 10:00 AM, with overtime extending to 2:00 PM as needed Pay Rate: $23-$25 per hour, based on experience Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years of metal polishing experience We are seeking an experienced Metal Polisher to join our manufacturing team on 1st shift. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of metal polishing and buffing techniques, experience operating polishing equipment, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a production environment. Candidates must be detail-oriented, capable of reading work orders and blueprints, and comfortable using precision measuring tools to ensure quality finishes and specifications are met. Job ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and apply safe work practices in a manufacturing environmentPerform metal polishing and buffing operations to achieve required finishesOperate and maintain polishing equipment including Lea Wheel and Burlington Belt SanderIdentify various materials and apply appropriate finishing techniquesRead and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production specificationsUse measuring equipment including tape measures and calipers to verify dimensions and quality standardsSet up and operate sand blasting equipmentUtilize polishing hand tools and related production equipment safely and effectivelyAssist with operation of crane paint room equipment as neededMaintain clean and organized work areasPerform additional duties as assigned by supervision QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredMinimum 5 years of metal polishing experience requiredBasic math, blueprint reading, and measuring skills requiredExperience using calipers, tape measures, and hand toolsStrong attention to detail and quality workmanshipAbility to work independently and as part of a team
