In this role, you will help protect patients, staff, and visitors while responding to security incidents and supporting a safe, healing environment.This position is ideal for professionals with a background in security, military, or law enforcement who are comfortable working in high-stakes situations and making quick, sound decisions.What You'll DoPatrol hospital and medical center facilities (interior and exterior)Monitor high-risk areas and proactively prevent incidentsRespond to emergencies, including violent incidents and Code Silver eventsDe-escalate conflicts and intervene when necessaryAssist medical staff with patient restraint when requiredEnforce facility rules and control access to restricted areasDetain or arrest individuals when appropriate and legally justifiedWrite detailed incident and activity reportsCoordinate with local law enforcement and emergency respondersWhat We're Looking For Required:High school diploma or GEDPrior Law enforcement, Military, or corrections experienceValid armed security license (per state requirements)Strong communication and decision-making skillsAbility to stay calm and professional in high-pressure situationsWillingness to work in a healthcare settingPreferred:5+ years of healthcare security experienceBachelor's degree (or higher)Certifications such as CPP or IAHSSExperience in de-escalation, training, or crisis responsePhysical RequirementsAbility to run, climb stairs, and respond quickly to emergenciesAbility to physically restrain individuals when necessaryMust pass a physical ability test (PAT) and medical evaluationMaintain fitness standards as a condition of employmentVeteransInter-Con is passionate about hiring veterans.
