A minimum of 8+ years oil and gas experience in a Finance/Accounting areaSummaryIn this role, you will have the opportunity to further develop a robust framework of analytics and reporting in support of commercial decisions across short , mid , and long term commodity marketing strategy as we integrate and grow our wholesale trading and marketing business. You will develop an understanding of deal structures, with a focus on credit exposure and the application of credit risk mitigation strategies, and present findings to internal and external counterparties.Collaboration and communication are key. You will work closely with peers across Commercial, Legal, Accounting, Risk, and Structuring teams to support business outcomes.Other day to day responsibilities may includePerforming counterparty exposure management using a real time credit systemNegotiating, implementing, and managing credit support instrumentsProactively managing credit related settings on electronic trading platforms (e.g., ICE)Performing financial modeling to support establishment of credit limits Credit Analysts partner closely with commercial, legal, and leadership teams to evaluate counterparty risk, set and manage credit limits, and ensure the integrity of our credit portfolio. From reviewing contracts and monitoring exposure to mentoring others and supporting day to day operations, your work helps protect the business and enables informed decision making across the organization. Collaboration, accountability, and attention to detail are essential to success.Your work will challenge you, and with our Core Values to guide you, you’ll quickly learn and grow with us.ResponsibilitiesAnalyzes creditworthiness of new and existing counterparties and recommend credit limits; approve credit limits for new and existing counterparties up to Delegation of AuthorityProcesses issuance and amendments of collateral instrumentsMonitors credit exposure versus established credit limitsReviews and approves of counterparty contracts - new and amendmentsHandles counterparty inquiries related to internal and external credit exposureProduces reports on credit activities and operationsEducation/Years of ExperienceRequired: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business; a minimum of seven (7) years working in a Finance, Accounting, or Business environment. A minimum of ten (10) years oil and gas experience in a Finance/Accounting areaOther RequirementsDemonstrates outstanding organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priorityProficiency in Microsoft Office ApplicationsKeen analytical skills, crucial for problem solvingDetailed understanding of financial documents and ratio analysisAbility to present information and respond to questions from leaders and counterpartiesDedication to meet timelines and quickly adjust prioritiesMay be required to work overtime, including possibly working extended hours, weekends, and holidays as the need arises
