Lubrication Tech

Weyerhaeuser has a Lubrication Technician position available in our state-of-the-art lumber manufacturing facility in Philadelphia, MS. The Lubrication Technician is responsible for equipment lubrication, contamination control, inspection and proactive maintenance activities for all lubricated mechanical systems. A successful candidate will have lubrication experience, mechanical aptitude and be willing and eager to invest time and energy in training to gain the necessary skills and knowledge. This full-time position offers competitive wages and benefits package. Associates in the position have the potential to progress to a pay rate of $31.00 per hour. Key Functions:Follow all safety policies, processes and proceduresMaintain manufacturing equipment lubrication requirements, including regular greasing, oiling and oil changesResponsible for improving/eliminating lubrication reliability downtimeUpdate scheduling systems, including adding notes to system and requesting work orders for maintenance repairs and activitiesMaintain inventory of lubricants and routine ordering of lubrication products by working with 3rd party vendorUse of tools and equipment for routine and non-routine lubrication functionsEnsure high standards of cleanliness of lubrication storage and dispensing equipmentReport on mechanical issues identified during lubrication workMechanical modification of systems as directed to facilitate sampling and filtration, and other proactive improvementsInspect filters and breathers on reservoirsUse CMMS to create work orders and evaluate PMs1Label and tag reservoirs, equipment, inventory and delivery containersSchedule, collect, label and mail samples for analysisReceive and evaluate oil analysis results for future planned maintenance; ensure follow-up actions are completed in timely mannerManage disposal of waste oil in accordance with environmental requirementsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredKnowledge/experience in the lubrication, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment in an industrial setting and understand maintenance manualsMust be computer literate; experience with SAP is preferredEligible to work in the United States without sponsorshipHave excellent listening, verbal and written communication skillsMust be team orientedAbility to work independently and in a groupMust be able to climb stairs, ladders and over equipment, stand upright for extended periods of time, work in tight, restrictive areas, and use aerial work platforms and manlifts at all heights and locations while wearing safety equipment.Able to work in extreme temperatures (heat and cold); dusty and noisy conditionsWilling and able to work in areas containing grease, lubricants and solventsSuccessfully complete mobile equipment trainingMechanical aptitude and ability to understand maintenance manualsAbility to make sound judgement, manage time and prioritize workWilling and able to work any shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as neededPreferred Qualifications:Minimum 2 years' experience involving machinery lubrication OR technical college certificate in maintenance related course of studyOtherMust pass applicant assessment processSuccessful candidates will be required to complete training/progression within the time allotted About Wood ProductsWe've been delivering quality building products and solutions to our customers for more than 100 years.
