This role supports a different but growing part of our business: clients who know exactly what they want and simply need the right product, priced right, specified right, and delivered on time.The Product Sales Administrator works directly alongside the Product Sales Account Director to manage the value engineering process from start to finish — building quotes, maintaining product databases, working with manufacturers on current pricing, and making sure every proposal is accurate, competitive, and ready to close. It's a detail-oriented, task-driven role that sits at the intersection of sales support and technical specification. This is a role where strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn the product matter more than years of experience. We'll teach you the rest.What You’ll DoQuoting & Proposal DevelopmentPrepare detailed lighting product quotes and pricing workbooks for client proposalsAssist in value engineering product packages to meet customer specs and budget requirementsEnsure all quotes are accurate, up to date, and aligned with current manufacturer pricingProduct Database ManagementBuild and maintain a comprehensive internal product database across lighting categoriesTrack SKUs, specifications, pricing, lead times, and manufacturer updatesKeep product information current as manufacturers release new lines, discontinue products, or adjust pricingManufacturer CoordinationLiaise with lighting manufacturers and rep agencies to obtain updated pricing, product specs, and availabilityMaintain strong working relationships with key vendor contacts to ensure competitive positioningDrawing & Count SupportPull product counts from e-sheets and architectural drawings to support accurate scope developmentAssist in interpreting lighting schedules and plans to identify the right product specifications for each projectProject AdministrationSupport the full administrative lifecycle of a value engineering project — from initial inquiry through final proposal deliveryManage timelines, track open items, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks across multiple concurrent projectsMaintain organized project files, correspondence, and records in the company's CRM and project systemsIdeal Candidate ProfileRequiredBachelor's degree in any fieldStrong organizational skills and attention to detail — this role lives and dies by accuracyComfortable working in spreadsheets and building structured workbooksClear written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslySelf-starter who takes ownership of tasks and follows through without being managed step-by-stepPreferred (Not Required)Background or coursework in lighting, electrical engineering, architecture, or a related technical fieldExperience reading architectural or construction drawingsFamiliarity with lighting product types, specifications, or manufacturer ecosystemsPrior experience in a sales support, inside sales, or technical quoting roleLocation & Travel RequirementsWillingness to travel as needed to meet customers face-to-face.
