This role is focused heavily on Windows workstation provisioning, OS image creation, and automated deployment in a secure DoD enterprise environment.This is a strong fit for a senior systems administrator or endpoint engineer with deep, hands-on experience building and maintaining Windows deployment solutions at scale, particularly with MDT, MECM, task sequences, Sysprep, WIM capture, PowerShell, Windows ADK, and WinPE.What They NeedThe hiring manager emphasized that this team currently has a gap around enterprise-level Windows imaging and provisioning, so this skill set is the top priority. Candidates must have solid practical experience standing up, maintaining, and improving workstation deployment processes in a secure enterprise setting.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain Windows workstation deployment and provisioning solutions usingMDT and/or MECMBuild and maintainautomated task sequences for standardized OS deploymentsCreate, maintain, and captureWindows system images usingSysprep andWIM capture processesAdminister and supportGroup Policy Objects (GPOs) and configuration baselines across the environmentMonitor workstation and system configurations to ensure operational performance, consistency, and complianceDevelopPowerShell scripts to automate deployment and administration tasksMaintain deployment infrastructure components includingWindows ADK andWinPECreate and update technical documentation, deployment procedures, and system standardsProvide user support and technical guidance related to systems and softwarePartner with engineers and cybersecurity staff to ensure compliance withDoD security requirementsRequired QualificationsActiveDoD Secret clearanceBachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related technical field10+ years of systems administration experience in enterprise IT environmentsStrong hands-on experience withWindows OS deployment and provisioningExperience withMicrosoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and/orMicrosoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)Experience building and maintainingdeployment task sequencesExperience withSysprep andWIM image captureStrongPowerShell scripting skillsExperience withWindows ADK andWinPEAbility to obtain and maintain aDoD 8570 Advanced certification such asSecurityX, GCSA, CCSP, or equivalentStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skillsPreferred QualificationsActiveDoD Top Secret clearanceExperience supportingDoD or Navy environments, ideallyNSWC CraneFamiliarity with enterprise endpoint management and compliance standardsExperience working inhybrid or classified environmentsActiveDoD 8570 Advanced certification
