Join our team of professionals who support large-scale government operations by leveraging cutting-edge technology and take your career to the next level!ResponsibilitiesPerform defensive cyber threat assessments by analyzing technical indicators, vulnerabilities, and attack patterns affecting Army networks, systems, and missions.Correlate defensive cyber threat data from authorized cybersecurity sources to support Risk to Mission Assessments and operational decision-making.Assess cyber risks to Army information systems, operational technologies, and mission-critical environments in support of network defense and mission assurance.Analyze adversary cyber behaviors and techniques strictly to understand defensive impacts, vulnerabilities, and mitigation requirements.Produce defensive cyber risk and threat analysis reports focused on system impact, mission risk, and recommended cybersecurity controls.Provide defensive cyber risk insights to cybersecurity teams, system owners, and leadership to support mitigation and remediation actions.Support cybersecurity incident response activities, including technical analysis, root-cause assessment, and post-incident reporting.Conduct technical cybersecurity investigations related to suspected or confirmed network intrusions, malware infections, or system compromises.Perform malware and exploit analysis to determine system impact, indicators of compromise, and defensive countermeasures.Collaborate with cybersecurity, risk management, and engineering personnel to ensure defensive controls and protections remain effective.Utilize approved cybersecurity and defensive threat analysis tools to analyze authorized technical data related to network and system security.Monitor evolving cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and defensive countermeasures relevant to Army missions and environments.Provide guidance on defensive cybersecurity practices, including incident response, recovery, and resilience.Assist in the development of defensive cyber procedures, playbooks, and risk mitigation approaches aligned with Army and DoD policy.Deliver cyber threat awareness and defensive readiness briefings focused on improving cybersecurity posture and mission resilience.May supervise others performing defensive cybersecurity support functions.Perform other assigned duties within Title 10 authorities and defensive cyber mission scope.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent5+ years of experience collecting, analyzing, and disseminating defensive cyber threat intelligence in support of cybersecurity operations.3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cyber threat analysis, or related defensive cyber disciplines.3+ years of experience supporting federal cybersecurity initiatives, preferably within DoD or Army environments.Familiarity with cyber threat intelligence platforms, frameworks, and defensive analysis methodologies.Experience with cybersecurity monitoring, threat analysis, and security information platforms.Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (required due to system access, not intelligence tasking).Preferred QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of Title 10 U.S. Code on Intelligence Activities in accordance with DoD and Army policy.Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex cyber threat and security data for defensive purposes.In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and adversary behaviors relevant to network defense.Proficiency with cyber threat analysis and cybersecurity tools used in defensive operations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief senior government and corporate leadership on cyber risk.Ability to collaborate effectively across cybersecurity, engineering, and operational teams.Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills and sound judgment in mission-critical environments.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to meet and maintain clearance requirements.Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.How you'll growAt Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
