In this role, youll support yard operations by pulling orders, assisting customers, and ensuring materials are handled safely and accurately. Read below for more information!What Youll Do as a Yard Associate:Assist customers with orders and returns, providing excellent serviceLocate, pull, and stage materials accurately based on order specificationsOperate a forklift to load and unload trucks/rail cars; verify counts and inspect for damageHelp drivers load and unload materials, ensuring loads are secured for safe transportComplete required paperwork, including orders, receiving logs, and equipment inspectionsMaintain a clean, organized yard and follow all safety proceduresSupport yard upkeep, including snow removal and ice controlWhat You Need to Bring to the Yard Associate Role:High school diploma or GED preferredAt least 6 months of forklift experience preferredExperience with building materials, construction, or related field is a plusAbility to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks throughout the shiftAbility to read instructions, perform basic math, and complete forms accuratelyStrong communication skills and ability to work as part of a teamBasic computer skills (MS Office and general computer use)Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditionsValid drivers license with a clean driving record preferredWhy Youll Like Working with Doherty Staffing SolutionsEnjoy weekly pay, access to health coverage options through Benefits in a Card (including preventative and minimum value plans), and temp-to-hire opportunities for long-term stability where applicable.
