You'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with other passionate professionals who share your drive and commitment to making a difference through technology.The Cyber Engagement Manager (CEM) will report to the Director of Cyber Engagement and will be responsible for overseeing the deployment and implementation of complex cybersecurity capabilities at a portfolio of city agencies.Responsibilities for the CEM position will include, but are not limited to, the following: Partner with the OTI and OTI Cyber Command stakeholders to develop cybersecurity roadmaps for a portfolio of departments and entities - including milestones, goals, and deliverables - in alignment with the governance model and project timelines; Coordinate with a portfolio of City agencies and offices, Cyber Command staff, and vendors to implement a range of cybersecurity tools, processes, policies and controls; Track project-level interactions and delivery schedule for a portfolio of City agencies and offices using appropriate tools (ex: CRM) to manage, mitigate and report project risks and issues; Collaborate with Cyber Command stakeholders and leadership to report on progress to all stakeholders (internal and external); Monitor and analyze project metrics to identify efficiencies and recommend process improvements as well as drive the re-prioritization of implementation to address deviations from initial timelines; Coordinate with legal, contracting, procurement, finance, communications and agencies and departments to ensure successful project rollout, communications and adoption; Support other elements of Cyber Commands engagement with agencies for selected agencies as requested; Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned.HOURS/SHIFTDay - Due to the necessary technical duties of this position in a 24/7 operation, candidate may be required to work various shifts such as weekends and/or nights/evenings.WORK LOCATIONBrooklyn, NYTO APPLY Interested applicants with other civil service titles who meet the preferred requirements should also submit a resume for considerationPlease go to www.cityjobs/jobs/search and search for Job ID #778720SUBMISSION OF A RESUME IS NOT A GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE AN INTERVIEWAPPOINTMENTS ARE SUBJECT TO OVERSIGHT APPROVALOTI participates in E-VerifyIT SECURITY SPECIALIST - 95622Minimum QualificationsA baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to projects and policies required by the particular position; or,Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.Preferred SkillsThe preferred candidate should possess the following: - Working knowledge of technology and cyber risk management process and controls, industry best practices, and frameworks - Strong communication skills and ability to lead large groups of stakeholders through various forms of exercise - Experience providing high level recommendations to executives with decision making authority, including written and verbal briefs - Experience documenting quickly shifting scenarios to maintain a clear record of what occurred - Attention to detail and strong analytical skills - Background in the field of cyber and information security, with a focus on cyber risk management, readiness, resilience, crisis management, or similar experience designing and facilitating executive tabletop exercises for business leaders at complex organizations - Technical knowledge of the cybersecurity field including a strong understanding of global cyber threats, threat actors and tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) used by cyber adversaries, particularly related to the financial sector.Public Service Loan ForgivenessAs a prospective employee of the City of New York, you may be eligible for federal loan forgiveness programs and state repayment assistance programs.
