Validation Engineer, Senior/Principal
Overview
In this Validation Engineering role, you validate and verify high-speed optical and electrical interfaces for MACOM’s advanced semiconductor products, supporting data-center modules and system-level integration. You will own validation activities across DVT, PVT, and debugging, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate datasheet specs into robust designs. The role blends hardware, firmware, and software disciplines to drive reliable, scalable products. A strong automation mindset and leadership in technical decisions help shape MACOM’s next-gen platforms.

ResponsibilitiesValidate/verify parts against datasheet and standardsPerform SI/eye-diagram, BER, link margining, and stress testingDe-embedding and analyzing SI effects of high-speed interconnectsDevelop and own automated validation frameworks and test plansOversee hardware–firmware–DUT debugging and validation strategiesDefine hardware requirements and support manufacturing handoffMentor junior engineers and communicate results via reports and dashboardsCollaborate across optical front ends, high-speed interfaces, firmware, drivers, and OS
