Mine Superintendent

Our Client is currently seeking a Mine Superintendent to oversee all aspects of the mining process including safety and environmental compliance, cost effectiveness, and production efficiency. The ideal candidate will help establish and meet targeted short-and mid-range operational goals and budgets of the assigned site.ResponsibilitiesWork with management and relevant departments to establish short- and long-term mine plans, strategies, and tacticsWork through front-line leaders to communicate and implement goalsMonitor daily success metrics and address with front-line leadersEnsure performance management and employee development needs are addressedCollaborate daily with the site team to address production/mill-impacting issuesComplete yearly budgeting process: track and adjust as neededOversee state and federal mine inspections, respond to findingsMaintain EHS compliance through expectation-setting, accountability, and performance auditingParticipate in continuous EHS improvementOther duties as assignedEducation & ExperienceRequired: High School diploma or equivalentPreferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or related fieldExperience: Minimum 10 years mine operations management and capital project managementMSHA certification preferredValid driver’s license requiredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesProficient with Microsoft OfficeFamiliarity with: Adaptive (Budgeting), DataServ (AP), UKG (HR), AutoCAD, LIMS, ETMS, Tableau, PeopleSoftDeep knowledge of MSHA mine safety regulationsProven ability to lead mining best practicesStrong communication skillsTools/Technology UseWORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSRegular computer/tablet/phone/radio use; occasional hand tools and hauling equipmentEnvironmentFrequently underground or outdoorsOccasionally near moving parts, vibration, wet/humid conditionsRarely in confined spaces or working at heightPhysicalRegular sitting, talking, hearingFrequent standing, walking, driving, wrist/hand/finger motionOccasionally prolonged sitting, reaching, pushing, climbing, stooping, crawlingVision requirements: near/far clarity, depth perception, colorLifting: Occasionally up to 50 lbs; rarely over 51+ lbs
