Other Amusement and Recreation IndustriesAdministration of Human Resource ProgramsInvestigation and Security ServicesElementary and Secondary SchoolsChild Care ServicesDutiesMust participate in all required training (emergency rescue drills, emergency action plan simulations).Mandatory certifications must be complete within 30 calendar days of employment.Responsible for lifeguarding guest in attendance at an assigned aquatic facility.Responsible for assisting in the conduct of aquatic swimming and water survival training according to ATP 7-22.01 as of October 2020.Works under close supervision wherein the work is closely reviewed/monitored and detailed guidance provided.RequirementsConditions of employmentDirect Deposit and Social Security Card is required.Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.In addition, the incumbent may be subject to additional background checks if required to have regular and recurring contact with children.Must have current health assessment that documents good physical health, and free from communicable disease IAW current Army Policy.Be able to obtain within 30 days and maintain the following certifications: Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR/AED from a nationally recognized agency.In addition, for facilities that use Oxygen Administration "O2 bottles" the O2 Administration certification (American Red Cross "Oxygen Administration” or installation offered training (i.e. Fire Dept.) must be obtained within two weeks.All required certifications must obtained within specified time and kept current.Continuous exposure to sun and prolonged periods of high temperature and humidity.In case of exposure to infectious disease, incumbent is required to obtain the Hepatitis B vaccination series within a 24-hour period.Lifeguard must have good vision (based upon an acceptable standard of 20/40 vision or better, either corrected (with glasses or contacts) or uncorrected) is necessary while on duty.Incumbent is required to follow environmental safeguards and wear personal protective equipment.May be assigned to irregular duties or when needed for special recreational events and related requirementsWork hours may involve weekend, weekdays, holidays and night duty.Fifteen (15) year old lifeguard trainees must comply with the restriction of the DOL Child Labors Law (Jan 17, 2006).QualificationsResumes must be two pages (or less).
