Principal Snowflake Engineer/ArchitectResourceful is placing a Principal Snowflake Engineer/Architect for a high-visibility engagement with one of the world's leading global investment management firms. This is a hands-on, senior technical leadership role not advisory. You'll be the Snowflake SME within a lean, high-caliber team building next-generation AI capabilities on top of Snowflake and Sigma.Phase 1 (6 weeks): Design the architectural foundation, development patterns, and engineering standards for AI solutions built on Snowflake and Sigma.Phase 2 (9+ months): Extend into a longer initiative reimagining data governance, analytical interfaces, and AI-driven reporting including intelligent chatbot experiences powered by Snowflake Cortex.What You'll DoArchitect scalable, production-grade data engineering workflows and pipelines on SnowflakeDefine development patterns and standards for AI/ML workloads on Snowflake's Cortex AI layerDesign Snowflake + Sigma integrations for advanced analytics and business reportingBuild AI-driven reporting interfaces, including conversational analytics capabilities using Snowflake Cortex and SnowparkEstablish data governance frameworks, RBAC, lineage, and observability practicesCollaborate directly with client technology and business stakeholders on-site in New YorkWhat You Bring8+ years in data engineering, data architecture, or cloud data platform roles Expert-level Snowflake Snowpark, Cortex AI, RBAC, performance optimization, data governance Hands-on Sigma Computing experience dashboards, data modeling, Snowflake integration Proven track record delivering technical architecture in an enterprise consulting context Exceptional communication skills across engineering, architecture, and executive audiences U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card) requiredBonus points for:Financial services or asset management experiencePython, dbt, or modern data transformation frameworksAzure, AWS, or GCP experience alongside SnowflakeSnowPro Core Certification or higherExperience with AI-driven BI, conversational analytics, or LLM-powered reporting
