Technical Documentation SpecialistThis role requires strong expertise in technical documentation, configuration management, and process documentation. The position focuses on developing, maintaining, and improving process manuals, agreements, and corporate documentation, while supporting documentation standardization, process improvement initiatives, and reporting efforts across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and publish technical documentations and manualsCollect and interpret technical data or information and coordinates layout for publicationProvide technical writing expertise including configuration control management for corporate documentationDevelop and maintain Advanced Industrial Management - Next Generation (AIM-NG) Process ManualsDevelop Memorandum of Agreements/Understandings (MOA/MOUs), Performance Based Agreements (PBAs), NAVSEA letters, and other agreements/documentationCoordinate internal and external reviews of AIM-NG chapters to gain consensus and approval among the shipyard maintenance communityDevelop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Technical Documentation for all task areasPrepare meeting minutes, action plans, notes, and out-brief materialsSupport development of Technical Reports including metrics packages and data analytics documentationSupport ISD team with presentations, SharePoint content, and Teams channel documentationMaintain business process and requirements maps including "As Is" state documentationBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Journalism, or related field. At least 3 years of experience with configuration management processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and documentation management systems.Preferred QualificationsMaster's Degree in related field. At least 8 years of experience in technical documentation. 4 – 7 years of experience in technical writing or documentation management. Experience supporting DoD or Navy programs. Familiarity with Naval Shipyard processes and documentation standards Compensation: $80,000.00 per year
