Using advanced sourcing methods like social media, professional networking media, internal, and 3rd party job boards, we identify qualified candidates.Validate: A recruiter validates the candidates' experience and skill sets against our client's position.Initial Screening: Based on the position and the client's work culture, the recruiter uses initial screening questions to determine the most suitable candidates.Submit: The recruiter will submit to the technical team qualified candidates who have passed the initial screening.Technical Screening: The technical team then prepares a matrix of the particular requirements and required experience for the position and using a list of questions and the results, re-validates the candidates' technical skills.Background Check: Administrative personnel will provide a detailed background check, as required, per client agreement.On board: On successfully completing the above steps, the candidates are welcomed on board and assisted to ensure a smooth integration at the client's location.Job DescriptionPosition details:Title: Batch OperatorLocation: Des Moines, IADuration: 12 MonthsJob Description:This position will be assisting with the OCIO Operators with the IA Department of Revenue systems.12:00 midnight to 8:30 amMonitor mainframe jobsAlert appropriate customers/programmers of potential problems.Report all job failures and other problems to Program Manager and assist with resolution.Report and coordinate resolution of all problems in the absence of Program Manager.Assist and provide support to Program ManagerKnowledgeable in JCLReporting:Distribute customer daily reportsMaintain unique scheduling calendarUpdate all documentation (SOPs, logs etc)Provide statistics gathered from various sourcesPrinting outputPrint nightly outputPrint state warrantsDeliver outputAfter hours help deskAnswer phonesResolve issuesEscalate to duty officer problems that cannot be resolvedRequired skills:Coordinate Mainframe Batch Job SchedulesChange JCL (Job Control Language) as appropriate. The parameters that need changing include, but is not limited to: dates, tax types, & various dataSchedule & submit daily, weekly, monthly & annual batch systems & monitor jobs for multiple systems for completion & monitor expected results.Verify job(s) set up and Networking accuracy (Control M). Trouble shoots Control M issues.Reconcile multiple transactions received from internal/external source(s) prior to loading them into the respective systems each night.The ability in Operating Department computer system(s) and equipment; troubleshoots in an entry level capacity with minimal supervision.Alert Program Manager of any problem(s) preventing the successful completion of a process or internal/external customer service issue.Use JCL (Job Control Language), Utilities and JES III to operate computer system(s)Experience in making changes to JCL as needed/instructed by Program Manager.Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
