Case Manager

Role OverviewThis position offers the opportunity to manage substantial legal projects, conduct sophisticated legal research, and support high-stakes litigation and regulatory compliance efforts within a fast-paced, professional environment. The role requires a proactive mindset, excellent organizational skills, and advanced technical expertise to ensure seamless case workflow and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and coordinate assigned legal cases, emphasizing organization, accuracy, and efficiency throughout all stages of litigation and document managementPerform comprehensive legal and factual research utilizing platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, Bloomberg Law, AlphaSense, and supplementary online legal research toolsReview, proofread, and verify citations, factual assertions, and reference materials within legal documents including pleadings, briefs, motions, and complaints to ensure strict adherence to legal citation standards (Bluebook) and accuracyDraft, revise, and electronically file legal documents in compliance with jurisdictional court filing procedures for federal and state courts, including e-filing in federal district courtsSupport regulatory compliance by retrieving and analyzing applicable rules, statutes, and industry regulationsMaintain and organize complex case files, tracking deadlines, exhibits, and correspondence for quick retrieval and reference; utilize case management software (e.g., iTimeKeep, Clio, or similar)Assist in preparation for depositions, hearings, trials, and client meetings, including scheduling, exhibit compilation, and logistical arrangementsAccurately record billable time entries and manage workload efficiently using legal time-tracking tools such as iTimeKeep or equivalentCollaborate with attorneys and external counsel, providing legal, administrative, and research support to advance case objectivesCore Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution5 to 12 years of progressive litigation paralegal experience within a law firm or corporate legal department, with substantive exposure to securities litigation, class actions, or complex commercial litigation highly preferredProven experience with federal and state court electronic filing protocols and proceduresExpertise in legal citation, cite-checking, and Bluebook complianceAdvanced proficiency in legal research tools including Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, Bloomberg Law, and AlphaSenseExceptional attention to detail, proofreading, and grammatical accuracyStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication, along with interpersonal skills to facilitate effective teamworkProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and legal case management & billing softwareNice-to-Have QualificationsExperience in securities litigation, class actions, or regulatory investigationsKnowledge of litigation support software such as Relativity, Summation, or ConcordanceFamiliarity with document management systems and e-discovery processesLegal research platforms: Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law, PACER, AlphaSenseE-filing systems: Federal and state court electronic filing portalsLegal citation standards: Bluebook, ALWD GuideCase management & billing: iTimeKeep, Clio, Relativity, ConcordanceMicrosoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPointThe Phoenix Group Advisors is an equal opportunity employer.
