Project Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our client and support key construction project initiatives from start to finish. This onsite, direct-hire position based in Cincinnati, OH, plays a vital role in supporting construction and engineering teams by coordinating technical activities, managing documentation, and driving continuous improvement in project execution.Compensation:$50,000–$90,000/year (based on experience)Work Schedule:Monday through Friday, normal business hoursKey Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:Manage and maintain accurate project documentation and control systemsLead and track RFIs, submittals, and engineering/design reviewsSupport cost and schedule management to ensure budget and timeline adherenceCollaborate with subcontractors to develop scopes of work and oversee onboardingPrepare quality and safety plans for project executionEnsure high-quality materials are specified and represented in drawingsPerform material takeoffs and procurement trackingCoordinate with site personnel on construction methods and logisticsCommunicate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain project alignmentAnalyze performance metrics to identify risks and opportunitiesDrive continuous improvement in project processes and documentationGenerate and present project status updates to leadershipConduct compliance audits throughout the project lifecycleOccasional travel requiredQualifications and Skills for the Project Engineer:1–3 years of experience in construction management or a related fieldBachelor’s degree preferredSolid understanding of construction coordination and project workflowsStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office and construction software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, Procore)Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentProactive, detail-oriented, and committed to quality executionExperience managing project risk and implementing preventative strategiesWhy Join Us?This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in complex construction environments while contributing to impactful projects.
