Research Associate – Analytical
Seattle R&D team of PI AgSciences is seeking a driven scientist with hands-on experience in HPLC-based analysis of peptides and proteins to support analytical testing, method execution, data analysis, and instrument administration for research and development programs. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented scientist with HPLC experience looking to grow technical expertise in peptide analytics while working closely with senior scientists in a collaborative laboratory environment.Responsibilities:Peptide analytical testing:Perform routine HPLC analyses for peptide identity, purity, and concentrationPrepare samples, mobile phases, standards, and reagents following SOP’sOrganize a library of peptide standards.Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot HPLC methods,Author and update HPLC-related SOP’s as necessaryInstrumentation & Laboratory operations:Operate and maintain HPLC systems (autosamplers, pumps, UV detectors, reverse-phase columns), including system troubleshootingMaintain laboratory records of system healthCollaboration:Work closely with Senior Scientists in research and formulation groupsPrepare analysis and data summaries to leadership as needed.Qualifications:BS or MS in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related disciplineHands-on experience with HPLC systems Familiarity with handling of peptides and proteinsUnderstanding of chromatographic principles and data interpretationPreferred Qualifications:Experience with reverse-phase HPLCExperience with Agilent OpenLab/ChemstationAuthorized to work in US without visa sponsorshipWhat we offerOpportunity to make a meaningful impact in sustainable agriculture by developing next-generation biological solutions.Collaborative and innovative environment with access to cutting-edge tools and technologies.A competitive salary based on experience, plus bonus, 401k, health benefits, and professional growth opportunities.
