Line Cook

Job DescriptionIngleside Retirement Apartments and Ingleside Assisted Living are seeking a part-time cook to join our dedicated kitchen staff.You will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in our professional kitchen to ensure a positive dining experience for our residents. We are looking for an individual who can work EVERY OTHER WEEKEND. Competitive salary based on experience, paid time off. Applicants must pass all state-required pre-employment screening. EOE.Responsibilities:Prepare all served foodPlan food production to coordinate with meal serving hoursMemorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portionsFollow standard recipes and special diet ordersOperate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficientlyAdhere to all sanitation and food production codesClean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliancesQualifications:Previous experience in cooking/culinary arts, preferably in a senior living environmentKnowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniquesServSafe certification preferredMust have supervisor experienceAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work well in teams and individuallyCompany DescriptionIngleside Homes, a non-profit organization, has been providing housing, healthcare and supportive services to at-risk, low-moderate income seniors since the 1970's.
