SummaryWe are actively seeking an Electrical Engineer for an onsite position in Bristol, VA. This role is responsible for custom electrical switchgear design, development, and technical support. This is a direct hire, permanent position. ResponsibilitiesDesign custom low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical switchgearDevelop engineered-to-order switchgear solutions based on customer specificationsCreate one-line diagrams, schematics, and panel layoutsEnsure switchgear designs comply with ANSI, IEEE, and NEC standardsCollaborate with sales, customers, and manufacturing teams on custom design requirementsDevelop practical and manufacturable switchgear designsSupport cost, schedule, and performance goals for custom switchgear projectsPerform short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studiesValidate performance and safety of custom-designed switchgear systemsProvide technical support during switchgear build and testingEnsure custom switchgear designs meet quality, reliability, and regulatory expectationsProduce design documentation required for manufacturing, testing, and customer reviewRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field3–5 years of experience designing custom electrical switchgearExperience designing low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical switchgearExperience developing engineered-to-order electrical solutionsExperience creating one-line diagramsExperience creating electrical schematicsExperience creating panel layouts for custom switchgear assembliesCustom switchgear assembly design experienceExperience designing manufacturable electrical equipmentExperience collaborating with sales, customers, and manufacturing teamsExperience designing switchgear to customer specifications, industry standards, and manufacturing requirementsExperience providing technical support during switchgear build and testing#GRP2Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledBenefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
