Discover more about our efforts here: Community of Belonging.Job SummaryThe Alumni Association of the University of Michigan is seeking a Business Systems Analyst with Project Management experience to support the implementation of our digital transformation projects and help deliver future technology-centric, business-driven goals. This role will serve as both a business analysis lead and a project delivery partner, helping translate business needs into clear requirements while also managing project implementation activities.The ideal candidate has experience supporting technology projects, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, documenting business and technical requirements, and helping teams move from concept to successful delivery. Operate as a critical contributing member of the staff to complete objectives in many different areas in order to move the whole organization toward the strategic plan.Support University Relations efforts by demonstrating AAUM value to campus units/partners (i.e., schools/colleges, campuses).Continually build digital skill sets in order to implement into work.Staff and participate in team meetings, Alumni Association events that may be during evenings or weekends, and staff retreats including offsite, overnight staff retreats at Camp Michigania.Provide staff support to the Alumni Association's Board of Directors, its committees, and other volunteers as needed.Coordinate special projects as assigned or required.Participate in Alumni Association and other University committees as required.Share knowledge through internal communication.Support the Alumni Association's vision of creating a place of belonging for all alumni.Remain current with respect to technology and the university's educational resources.Supervision ReceivedDirect supervision is received from the Information Systems Manager.Required Qualifications*Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 5 years of experience as a business systems analyst, business analyst, project management, product analyst, systems analyst, or similar roleExperience supporting or managing technology projects, system implementations, tech enhancements, process improvements, and digital transformation initiativesVery strong organizational and time management skillsAbility to create project plans, track milestones, manage project risks, coordinate stakeholders, and communicate project statusStrong facilitation, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skillsExperience creating project/business documents, such as business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, test plans, status reports, risk logs, decision logs, and implementation plansAbility to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative teamDesired Qualifications*Familiarity with Salesforce technologies and key concepts such as objects, fields, records, workflows, automation, reports, and integrationsProject management experience using Agile, Scrum, Kanban, waterfall, and/or hybrid methodologiesExperience with project management and collaboration tools such as Asana, Jira, Lucidchart, and Google WorkspaceExperience working with vendors, consultants, implementation partners, or managed service providersExperience with non-profits, associations, and membership organizationsFamiliarity with change management, training, stakeholder engagement, and user adoption plansSalesforce certification, project management certification, business analysis certification, and/or Agile certificationModes of WorkPositions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
