Audit ManagerOur client, a well-established public accounting firm, is seeking an Audit Manager to lead audit and assurance engagements while supporting team development and client relationships. Location:Sacramento, CA. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, 3 days/week in the office.Job Description:This role sits within a collaborative environment and offers strong visibility across engagements, with a focus on delivering high-quality client service. The ideal candidate is a technically strong audit professional who can manage multiple engagements, build client relationships, and mentor team members. Responsibilities:Lead and manage multiple audit and assurance engagements from planning through completionServe as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationshipsReview audit workpapers, financial statements, and disclosures to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standardsEnsure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements relevant to assigned engagementsProvide technical accounting guidance on complex issues, including specialized accounting areasManage engagement budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient deliveryMentor, coach, and develop audit staff and senior team membersCollaborate with firm leadership on client service delivery and practice growth initiativesStay current on accounting standards, regulatory changes, and industry best practicesRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; active CPA required5+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on audit and assuranceStrong knowledge of applicable accounting and auditing standardsExperience managing multiple engagements and deadlinesStrong leadership, communication, and client relationship skillsExperience reviewing work and developing junior staffCompensation:Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to:The individual's skill sets, experience, and training;Licensure and certifications; Office location and other geographic considerations; Other business and organizational needs.
