Buyer/ Route Driver

Scrap Metal BuyerChristensen Recycling is seeking self-starting motivated buyers to develop supplier relationships and purchase scrap materials from mechanics, scrap yards, auto dismantlers, and dealerships. The role involves sourcing accounts, negotiating pricing based on metal markets, and coordinating pickups of all scrap metal. Responsibilities: 6 am start time Develop relationships with auto repair shops, scrap yards, and dismantlers Purchase scrap metals Negotiate prices based on metal market conditions Visit suppliers and coordinate material pickups Grow and maintain supplier accounts Track purchases and supplier activity Qualifications: Experience in sales and driving rack body style trucks 550 and 600 series Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills Valid driver's license Ability to travel locally and up to 3 hours away. Clean MVC Driving record Knowledge of scrap metals is a major plus Preferred Experience: Negotiating Purchasing Auto repair or automotive industry Driving rack body style trucks 550 and 600 series HIGHLY PREFFERED Preferred Candidate Background: Moving and storage industry Sales background Mitigation and Restoration Food Chain Logistics and Supply Towing and salvage Industry Location: Sayreville, NJ and surrounding areas
