SPECIAL INSPECTOR - CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION, NEW YORK CITY OFFICEBe a part of a dynamic and creative, fast-growing structural engineering firm with projects across the United States and International.About the Role: Concrete construction Special Inspector to provide on-site concrete - rebar, and concrete placement special inspection per building code requirements and act as a visible, professional, collaborative representative of the company at project construction sites.Responsibilities:Inspect reinforcementReview concrete placementAct as a collaborative, problem-solving representative of the company on the construction siteCoordinate with design engineers in officeReview construction documents and shop drawingsProvide written field reportsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil, Structural or other Construction related fieldACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector (CCSI) and/or PE required3+ years of recent inspection experience, preferably with an emphasis on rebar and concrete placement inspectionInspection experience in other types of construction also a plus - post-tensioning, masonry, steel, etcRequired Skills:Must be able to exercise independent judgment using technical knowledgeStrong attention to detail with emphasis on organizationAbility to work under deadline pressureExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalProficient in MS Word, Adobe and/or Bluebeam, ProcoreCompensation:Anticipated Salary Range: base salary of $90,000 to $110,000 plus significant overtime opportunities We are proud to offer a generous benefits package that includes bonuses, medical, dental, vision, disability, life, 401k retirement program with profit sharing company match, and paid time off (PTO).McNamara • Salvia has provided a good-faith estimate of the compensation range for this position in this specific location.
