Our mission is simple: to help employees better understand their health and support healthier workplaces.Position OverviewWe are seeking skilled, professional Phlebotomists with corporate wellness or biometric screening experience to support our on-site employee health screening events. This role is engaged on an as-needed basis and is classified as a 1099 independent contractor position.Events are generally conducted during early mornings and daytime hours on weekdays, offering a flexible schedule for supplemental work.Purpose of the PositionTo perform health risk screening assessments and provide clear, supportive counseling on screening results at employee health screening events.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesWelcome participants and guide them through the screening processObtain height (stadiometer) and weight measurementsMeasure resting blood pressure using a manual cuffPerform fingerstick blood collection and operate Cholestech LDX/CardioChek equipment accuratelyAssess lipid panel and glucose resultsPerform venipuncture blood draws (when required) within two attemptsAccurately document screening data via paper forms or electronic tabletsComplete basic data entry using electronic systemsAssist with troubleshooting screening or equipment issuesSupport setup, breakdown, and transport of screening equipmentAssist with medical emergencies (e.g., fainting, hypoglycemia, seizures, syncope, cardiac arrest), including initiating emergency response and providing CPR as neededMaintain strict adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality standardsPerform additional screening modalities or duties as trained and assignedPhysical DemandsAbility to work in a variety of client-site environmentsStand for up to 6 hoursBend, lift, and carry supplies and equipment (up to 30 lbs; push/pull up to 50 lbs)Use arms to properly operate screening equipment (e.g., stadiometer)Navigate stairs while transporting equipmentSafely assist participants during medical emergencies as required by protocolQualificationsEducation:High school diploma or GED requiredCompletion of a phlebotomy or medical assistant program preferredCompletion of a nursing program preferredRequirements:Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience requiredPrevious biometric screening experience preferredCurrent CPR/BLS Certification requiredCurrent phlebotomy and/or medical certification preferred or as required by state regulationsExperience obtaining anthropometric measurements (manual BP, height, weight, BMI)Proven proficiency in venipuncture and/or fingerstick capillary blood draws in accordance with regulatory and infection control standardsAbility to independently perform all clinical duties and exercise sound clinical judgmentWhy Work With IH21?Flexible, PRN schedulingTravel reimbursementReferral programOpportunity to work with a nationwide wellness organization making a meaningful impact
