As a Certified Respiratory Therapist on our team, you will evaluate the respiratory needs of your patients. You will also develop and implement the Respiratory Care Plan for your patients. Your duties and responsibilities may include: Responsible for the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilationMust be self-directed in the absence of a full-time Team LeaderMaintain all department and hospital records and enter accurate information into the hospital computer for the therapy as givenSet up/administer all routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients of all agesRequirements: Completion of a Vocational/Technical program or an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree); Bachelor’s Degree preferredClear/active Florida Department of Health licensure as a Certified Respiratory TherapistCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationACLS, PALS and NRP within 6 months of hireFrequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling and moving equipment Blake Hospital also requires Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) within 6 months of hire
