Our client is building a next-generation financial services platform, combining premium banking, rewards, and account services in one ecosystem. They're operating at serious scale ($150M+ ARR, $4B+ annual transaction volume) and remain fully profitable, with the growth trajectory of a company still early in its story.This is a chance to join a small team of at a genuine inflection point, owning the backend systems (payments, rewards, account services, and partner integrations) that power a fast-growing, high-value customer base.What you'll doDesign and build backend services, APIs, and data models handling high-volume, high-stakes financial transactionsOwn full features end-to-end, from concept to launch and beyond, across payments, rewards, account services, and partner integrationsBuild systems where correctness matters, keeping money and data accurate through concurrency, retries, and failuresShape technical architecture as the platform scalesPartner with frontend and mobile engineers on polished, full-stack featuresRaise the bar on reliability, performance, and observability across backend systemsWhat you bring5+ years building backend or full-stack systems in productionStrong experience with a backend languageSkill designing APIs, data models, and services on PostgreSQL and AWSA track record of owning significant systems end-to-endBachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldNice to haveComfort in distributed, high-availability production environmentsExperience with Django and TypeScript/ReactBackground in fintech, payments, banking, or rewardsStartup or small-team experienceA personal interest in credit cards, points, or travelA competitive $300k base + equity.If interested, reply and Goliath Partners will be in touch!
