Job Description Summary:As a Material Handler, you will support the daily operations of the Shipping, Receiving, and Materials department by ensuring the efficient movement of products throughout the manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and strictly adhering to all safety regulations. In this role, you will work closely with your team to perform key tasks including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping activities while contributing to strategies that improve overall warehouse efficiency.ResponsibilitiesOrder Fulfillment: Accurately pull and verify parts according to production orders to ensure an uninterrupted manufacturing flow.Inventory Accuracy: Maintain real-time stock records by entering all material transactions into the BPCS inventory system.Stock Maintenance: Conduct daily cycle counts and manage Kanban bin replenishment to prevent part shortages.Production Support: Provide rapid response to material requests from the production lines to minimize downtime.Equipment Operation: Safely operate various forklifts and material handling equipment to transport goods throughout the facility.Process Compliance: Adhere to all Standard Work Instructions (SWI) to ensure consistency, quality, and operational efficiency.Quality Control: Proactively report any product or process discrepancies to the supervisor to prevent quality issues.Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized workspace (5S) and strictly follow all prescribed safety regulations.Flexibility: Adapt to changing production needs by assisting at different workstations or performing related tasks as assigned.QualificationsTechnical Skills: Proficient in inventory control software and Microsoft Office (Excel); must be comfortable using email for daily communication.Equipment: Prior forklift experience preferred; must be willing and able to complete company-provided forklift safety certification.Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of material handling, warehouse logistics, and inventory control principles.Detail Oriented: Strong focus on accuracy during picking, stocking, and data entry.Reliability: A proven track record of dependability and a commitment to a safe work environment.Work Environment/Physical demand:Stamina: Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floors for 8–10 hours per shift.Physical Strength: Regularly move, transport, and position materials weighing up to 70 lbs.Safety: Strict adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe lifting techniques is mandatory.Conditions: Exposure to loud noise, chemicals, and metal particles; facility can be hot and humid during summer months.Shift:1st Shift: 5am-1:30PM Monday -Friday.
