Join our nationally ranked team at UAB Medicine, the No. 1 Best Large Employer in 2021 as ranked by Forbes magazine.Job DescriptionPre-Project / Contract Review: Assist with gathering and reviewing business requirements, technical specifications, and business process redesign and information flow. Identify appropriate resources to map, create and document project specifications if current state documentation does not exist. Document project scope and objectives. Work with appropriate HSIS leaders to define project team member roles to effectively coordinate team activities.Customer Relationship Management / Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Effectively communicate with customers regularly for the duration of the project to, include informing them of project delays and issues. Creates and maintains a trust relationship with stakeholders within and beyond HSIS.Professional Presence / Presentation Skills: Routinely presents at Project and Planning Services staff meetings and attends all relevant huddle meetings. Maintains a high level of professionalism in appearance, communication and demeanor at all times.Key Responsibilities Facilitate smaller projects and other meetings including documentation of participants, next steps, and decisions made at the meeting. Performs contract analysis and submit findings for review and approval. Aids in the creation of long and short-term project plans, to include setting project milestones, target completion dates, and ensuring all deadlines are adhered to. Supports evaluation of project schedule and target completion dates on the project as needed and recommend date adjustments to accommodate for change related to the project. Assist in communication with executives or HSIS leadership to ensure the project is aligned with department goals. Document and monitor any and all risks associated with the project. Update project sponsor and team regarding project status and progress on a regular basis. Along with project sponsors, identifies measurable benefits of proposed projects. Convenes various standing or committee meetings as needed or as directed by supervisor. May author or assist with the authoring of departmental or project related communication. Other duties as assigned:Administer and configure ServiceNow SPM/ITBM applicationsSupport and configure Demand Management, Project Management, Portfolio Management, and Resource Management modulesLead and work with SPM data models and support relationships between demands, projects, portfolios, and resourcesAdminister and support current portfolio governance processes (intake, prioritization, stage-gate reviews)Lead the creation of portfolio dashboards showing project health, resource utilization, and financial performanceSupport project financial management administration including cost plans, budgets, actuals trackingQualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field required and 3 years’ experience required.
