Apply via Dice today!RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Splunk Engineer in McLean, VA.Duties Include: Splunk Engineer will develop and implement Splunk security solutions in alignment with security strategy Maintain awareness of market and technology trends to bring best of breed solutions to the client Apply consulting or technical expertise as well as full industry knowledge As a Splunk Engineer, you will develop innovative solutions to complex problems Work without considerable direction and mentor or supervise team members, if neededREQUIREMENTS: BA or BS degree 10+ years of experience with system integration, including the design, development, and enhancement of cyber systems 4+ years of experience with Splunk operations and maintenance Experience with maintaining an event schema using customized security severity criteria Experience with creating scheduled and ad-hoc reporting using Splunk Experience with extraction, transformation, and loading of data, including SPL and Regex Knowledge of SIEM technologies and event collection mechanisms in Windows and Linux operating environments Ability to build and implement event correlation rules, logic, and content in the security information and event management system in the Splunk platform Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified informationThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
