And youll get to practice your passion in a non-profit, mission-driven organization thats known for the highest level of care in our communities/ph3Role And Responsibilities/h3ulliAssists patients in and out of bed and into wheelchair with the correct use of the transfer belt./liliAssists patients in daily care such as: bathing, dressing, bathroom./liliTakes vital signs of patients, e.g., temperature, blood pressure, and respiration and records information./liliAssists patients to dining area for meals. May be required to assist in feeding of patients and documenting intake of nourishment./liliAssists in personal grooming of patients, e.g., brushing hair, trimming fingernails and toenails, and shaving./liliTurns patient intermittently if patient is bedridden due to illness./liliRequired to clean bedpans and empty catheter bags./liliDocuments and/or reports information regarding the patients health, IO, any change of medical condition, and care given./liliDistributes fresh water to patients and picks up used water pitchers./liliRequired to pass food trays to individual patients in accordance with diet cards on trays./liliProvides oral, denture and skin care./liliAssists with admissions, discharges, and transfers as requested./liliUnderstands and utilizes care plans./liliIdentifies the four basic food groups on a sample breakfast, lunch and dinner meal./liliProvides assistance with meals as requested (tray delivery, feeding, etc.)./liliProvides after meal care (remove tray, brush teeth, wash face and hands, etc.)./liliApplies releases restraints and provides exercise./liliProvides external/indwelling catheter care./liliOffers fluids at appropriate times (including routine ice and water rounds)./liliProvides for bowel and bladder training/retraining./liliProvides colostomy care./liliPractices proper body mechanics while moving/transferring patients./liliProvides range of motion exercises for patients./liliCollects stool and urine samples./liliRecognizes and reports signs/symptoms of abuse and/or change in condition./liliProperly documents in accordance with established guidelines./liliReceives and gives reports on patients status or condition./liliAssists patients to and from activities as requested./liliAssists patients with walking (with or without assistive devices)./liliProvides care for the dying patient/liliProvides post mortem care as requested./li/ulh3Skills And Abilities/h3ulliCommunicates well with other associates, patients, family members, and visitors providing warm and friendly greeting and an approachable attitude. Responds to expressed concerns while displaying a helpful, caring demeanor, answers questions when appropriate in a professional manner./li/ulpMinimum Qualifications/pulliA high school diploma or its equivalent preferred./liliHave a current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant from the State of Georgia/li/ul/div
