Position SummaryThe Community and Continuing Education (CCE) program is a growing, self-supportive department that develops and delivers a broad range of personal enrichment and professional development programming focusing on the needs, interests, talents and lifelong learning goals for individuals in the community.Applications are being accepted to create a pool of qualified applicants to fill possible future Community&Continuing Education (CCE) credit courses within the Pierce College District. All applications remain on file for one year from the submission date.* Prior to submitting an application, please contact Rachelle Leigh McGinnis, Program Development Manager- Community & Continuing Education at rmcginnis@pierce.ctc.edu or (253 840-8450) to discuss your course idea.See Terms of Employment below for salary information.Essential FunctionsDevelop and teach course(s) as assigned.Conduct assigned courses in a manner that promotes student success and incorporates various teaching styles and technology.Work effectively with colleagues and students of various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.QualificationsMeet professional/technical qualifications from an accredited institution in fields where they are readily available: a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and professional experience in the discipline field.Subject matter experience or expertise.Experience teaching groups of adult learners in a community or college classroom setting.Preferred: professional certification in the field.Application ProcessTerms of Employment:Salary for credit class instruction is current hourly rate or by contractual agreement.
