The ideal candidate will be comfortable supervising medication staff, supporting medication room operations, and ensuring that all medication-related procedures are completed accurately and in compliance with facility policies and regulatory guidelines.Key ResponsibilitiesMedication ManagementOversee the setup, storage, administration, documentation, and tracking of medications in accordance with established protocols.Ensure accurate and timely medication records are maintained for all residents.Monitor medication administration practices to ensure compliance with facility policies and applicable regulations.Coordinate the timely ordering, receiving, and organization of medications and necessary supplies.Identify and report medication-related concerns, discrepancies, or changes in resident condition as appropriate.Team LeadershipSupervise Medication Technicians and medication staff to ensure adherence to all guidelines, policies, and procedures.Provide support, mentorship, and training to promote a knowledgeable, compliant, and high-performing medication team.Assist with monitoring staff performance, providing guidance, and reinforcing proper medication room practices.Promote accountability, professionalism, and teamwork within the department.Resident CareSupport the clinical, social, and emotional needs of residents.Act as a resident advocate while promoting compassionate, respectful, and person-centered care.Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, providers, and facility leadership.Help ensure a safe, organized, and supportive environment for residents and staff.QualificationsCurrent and valid New York State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.Strong knowledge of medications, medication administration, and medical terminology.Prior experience supervising or training medication staff strongly preferred.At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred, ideally in assisted living, adult care, nursing home, or a similar care facility environment.Experience working with seniors or in a residential care setting preferred.Highly organized, reliable, self-motivated, and accountable.Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Compassionate, resident-focused, and customer-service oriented.BenefitsCompetitive SalaryComprehensive Health BenefitsPaid Time Off, Sick Leave, and HolidaysPaid Training ProgramsUnlimited Employee Referral BonusesSupportive Management with an Open-Door PolicyReliable and Flexible SchedulingOpportunities for GrowthWhy Join The W Group?The W Group is proud to be the largest provider of senior living and adult care in New York State.
